Training will be delivered in the following manner:
1. Weekly units on specific themes.
2. Pre-recorded talks and readings you can do on your own time (about 3 hours/week)
3. Discussion questions on which you can reflect and prepare written answers (30 mins/week)
4. Weekly meetings of virtual discussion groups to interact with a small group of other participants in similar time zones, supported by a facilitator (90 mins/week)

Total time commitment per week: 5 hours

While the governance of the global refugee regime remains diffuse, Geneva remains an important site for global decision-making on refugee issues and for the making of global refugee policy. Given that one of R-SEAT’s core objectives is to increase the meaningful participation of refugees in the governance of the global refugee regime, and given that meaningful participation involves refugees having the skills, tools and experience to effectively navigate the politics of meetings in Geneva, R-SEAT has identified the development of a training program for actors supporting meaningful refugee participation in the context of Geneva as an important component of enhancing meaningful refugee participation globally.
