Juan Carlos Viloria Doria

Juan Carlos Viloria Doria isa Venezuelan medical doctor. He has more than 10 years of experience in editorial management of scientific health journals. He has published 10 investigations, 3 of them presented at international conferences. He speaks Spanish, English, and Italian.

He has been a prominent leader and activist of Venezuelan and Colombian-Venezuelan civil society in the diaspora for more than 15 years. He is currently the Latin America Regional Co-Lead and is the Vice President of Venezuelans in Barranquilla. He also locally coordinates Sin Mordaza, an international NGO with a presence in more than 50 countries. He is also an Officer for the Venezuelan Diaspora in the Migration Task Force of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth-UNMGCY and a Member of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative-YLAI. In June 2019, he assumed the General Coordination and Presidency of the Coalition for Venezuela federation until October 2022, which brought together more than 90 civil society organizations in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Juan Carlos is the winner of the 2019 National Young Talent Award, which was awarded by the First Lady of Colombia through the Presidential Council for Youth. This awardallowed him to represent Colombia at the One Young World Summit - OYW London 2019. He was honored in 2021 with the Exceptional Service Award, awarded by Refugees International for his extraordinary leadership and commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of refugees.
